Former ballerina, Lizzie Grimaldi, is a life long sufferer chronic anorexia. In an attempt to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted as well as possiblity of saving her own life, she has begun a sponsored weight gain diet and keeps an online diary of her progress at the blog pounds4pounds.blogspot.com. Her blog hasn't been updated in a few days now though."Having established a three-meals-per-day routine, Lizzie is now trying to up her food intake at each meal. For breakfast she had two slices of toast with butter and honey ("I'm a total honey monster"), and a small sandwich for lunch. "Lunch has always been a big, big issue, a remnant of dancing days when nobody wanted to feel full for afternoon class. I have a big issue with portion control, too. In that respect those individual cheesecakes you get from the supermarket have been my salvation. See, with those, you cannot cheat.""

I heard her being interviewed on Newstalk some days back and thought it so sad that while some try desperately to keep their weight down, there are those who in danger of dying because they are unable to keep their weight up to a healthy level.
